PUBLIC FORUMS
SUSTAINABILITY BY DESIGN:
GROWING A GREATER REGION

Three public forums were held in February and March 2006 with four main objectives: Launch the Sustainability by Design project; Provide a regional context for the SxD design exercise of a region of 4 million; Create a public dialogue on SxD 'building blocks' or study areas (Edges, Corridors and Nodes); and, Integrate initial public feedback/survey into the following workshops and charrettes.The audience included SxD invited stakeholders and workshop participants, municipal politicians, community groups, and the general public. The public forums took place at SFU Surrey Central Campus.
